Description:
This ethnic copper offering from this brand features the effortful craft of hand beating metal. The process employs the use of manual labor wherein sheets of metallic sheets are beaten by hand with tools such as hammers to create a variable pattern or patterns in the finish and appearance desired. Common materials used are copper, aluminium, brass and iron. Later, a protective tin coating to the brass helps prevent corrosion. Hand beaten artwork provides an antiquated look and feel to new products. This unique craft of Amritsar is the first craft from India to be inscribed in the UNESCO’s Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity in 2014. Over the years, due to the onset of changing culture and modernized tastes, this craft lost its stature. This is a legacy which has been passed down generations for 200 years!By this we are epitomizing the transformation of tradition into trend while converting practice into perfection, moulding the vessels of hope!
